Robot 2001 was a robot manufactured by Son Ai between 1997 - 1998. When it is turned on it walks and spins while talking. It includes unique phrases, such as: "I am the law!", and "You are under arrest", aswell as "Fire!".

- A Robot 2001 II was made in 1998, the toy is slightly smaller than a regular Robot 2001 and has a standard-2001 color variation, aswell as a unique color variation not previously seen in Robot 2001.
- Some Son Ai boxes have the prototype version present in the box Images.
- The chest door often fogs up on these.
- This robot has design simulrities to the Power Rangers character Signalman. It was likely the inspiration for the robot's general design.
- A few robots created without involvement with Son Ai have a head which is copied from Robot 2001, some more recent robots have heads which are altered versions of Robot 2001 II's
